The Fighting Fit Gymnasium is part of the Fighting Fit Martial Arts and Fitness Centre, located in Griffithstown, Pontypool. It is a small, well-equipped gym located on the ground floor of the centre, and is open to everyone.
Here at the Fighting Fit Gymnasium, we pride ourselves on our friendly, professional service. Here, you are not merely a membership number or statistic. The intimate environment means all our members are referred to by name and receive a far more personalised touch compared to some of the multiple large gymnasium chains.
Never stepped foot in a gym before? Don't worry. The vast majority of our members hadn't either, before joining us. The difference here is we offer all the high-tech equipment and expertise of the larger gyms but without the typical atmosphere fuelled by lycra-clad lovelies and bodybuilders which can be intimidating to some. We believe the benefits of exercise should be available to everyone, which is why we are committed to simplifying and de-mystifying the gymnasium experience, making it accessible for all instead of just the stereotypical gym-goer (who, by the way, are welcome too!).
A small team of staff run the gym, meaning members will find it easy to acquaint themselves with both gym staff and fellow members alike. All staff are qualified YMCA Level 2 Gym Instructors or above, and are all members of the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs). They can be approached at any time for advice on training, nutrition, exercise technique and performance and any other exercise-related queries you may have.
