Any gym owner, professional trainer or long-term trainee will tell you that free weights are the best and most versatile equipment for resistance training, offering far more benefits than weight training machines. Here at Fighting Fit, we have a vast selection of free weights available for you to use, as well as a cable machine with a high / low pulley and a lat pulldown machine. |
Our range extends from light chrome weights for female trainees right through to heavy dumbbells and barbells. We currently have 3 Olympic lifting bars with over 250kgs worth of weight plates available for the seriously strong trainee. Also available are a squat rack and a power cage for complete safety when training alone. |
Our dumbbell range starts as light as 2kgs and works up to 50kgs in increments of 2 - 2.5kgs. Whatever your strength and experience level, you will find a weight to challenge you in our extensive selection. Coupled with 5 benches offering a variety of incline and decline settings, you'll have no problems hitting your body from all the angles! |
Kettlebells are the hot new trend spreading like wild fire through the fitness industry, and with good reason too! Essentially a lump of iron with a handle attached, these little tools are deceptively challenging when used properly and offer a nice change from standard dumbbells and barbells. They also provide the BEST core workout avaliable due to their awkward shape and subsequent lack of stability and balance. Just ask any of our instructors for some advice and you'll be away in no time! We use kettlebells frequently in our Group Fitness Coaching classes, so if you fancy using them in a more structured and formal manner, why not come along and try one of our high-energy classes? |
In tune with our diverse training philosophies here at Fighting Fit, we have introduced sandbags to our range of resistance equipment! Hand made by Al in his back garden, these sandbags are truly a labour of love, and provide fun yet challenging workouts. Our sandbags are also used frequently in our Personal Training programmes and Group Fitness Coaching Classes, so come and have a go if you fancy giving them a try! |
