John Cregg
![]() Date of birth: 14th December 1965. Place of birth: London Ontario, Canada. Occupation: Assistant Supervisor. When did you start Taekwondo: 1996. Why did you start Taekwondo: Having had a Martial Arts upbringing, I wanted somewhere for my son John to learn discipline and respect so popped in to see what Taekwondo was like. After several weeks of watching John, thought I might as well join in so we could have a common interest. Why do you still do Taekwondo: .Although I have only been doing Taekwondo for about 11 years I am hooked, through all the martial arts that I have done over the years Taekwondo offers camaraderie like no other, it is like an extension of your own family. Have you done any other martial arts: Several over the years including Boxing, Karate, kung fu (several styles) judo and Tang Soo Do. Other activities: I enjoy running and Computers. . What is the best thing about Taekwondo: As I have said, it’s the camaradire that Taekwondo offers. Has Taekwondo affected your everyday life: Most definitely its has changed me as a person, I am less stressful and more in tune with myself. Taekwondo has also giving me more confidence to deal with people and situations. Who has inspired you: I get inspiration from all the people I meet and train with. I learnt a great deal about the applications behind techniques and the different usages from Master Green from Tang Soo Do who was an extremely good exponent of his art. Biggest Taekwondo achievement so far: Watching my first group of Tiny Tigers take and pass their first grading, they were awesome and then to continue to take their Black Belts, I was so proud and anything that I achieve fails to compare to this. Future goals: To continue to train and learn, to progress to my 4th Dan in Tagb Taekwondo and hopefully take my Black Belt in WTF Taekwondo. Other Comments: Strive to be the best you can be, then you will reap the rewards. Date added 1/08/2007. |
